George Wagner George H. Wagner II, CIH and CEO

George H. Wagner II, CIH is the founder and CEO of Flame Technologies, Inc. In this role, he is actively involved in the direction, vision, goal setting and the daily operations of the company. Mr. Wagner continues to provide guidance to his staff on all business aspects. He is the Director of the continuous improvement and innovation program, actively reviews technical reports, provides technical proposals and is responsible for the overall financial performance of the company.

His strong technical background helps to support the front line engineers on all types of programs. Mr. Wagner has 25 years of experience in providing environmental, health and safety services to the industrial community. He is an active member of several trade associations including the Air & Waste Management Association (AWMA), American Board of Industrial Hygienists (ABIH), American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) and is a Registered Environmental Professional and a Certified Cogeneration Professional. George is a diplomat in good standing with the American Board of Industrial Hygiene.


Tom Mattei Thomas F. Mattei

Thomas F. Mattei is the Service Manager for Flame Technologies, Inc. In this role he is responsible for assuring production of quality, cost-effective air testing services. He fulfills his responsibility through direct supervision of key company personnel, review of technical documents/procedures, interfacing with clients and project management. Mr. Mattei has over eighteen years of experience in the air testing industry, which features both extensive fieldwork and extensive management responsibilities.

Mr. Mattei’s industry familiarity includes chemical, pharmaceutical, energy, manufacturing, incineration, resource recovery and remediation. His method/technical familiarity includes: 40 CFR, SW846, Compliance Assurance Monitoring, Acid Rain, NOx budget, Superfund, California Air Resources Bureau, Boiler and Industrial Furnaces and Toxic Organics. Mr. Mattei has supervised compliance tests and CEM evaluations required by the USEPA and state agencies in Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia, Wisconsin and the District of Columbia.

Mr. Mattei’s formal training includes chemistry (AAS), OSHA 40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER).


Chris Becker Chris Becker

Chris R. Becker is a Service Technician for Flame Technologies, Inc. In this role, he performs maintenance and repair on the front-end combustion equipment.

His formal training includes a degree in Environmental Science from Susquehanna University. He has completed the OSHA 40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER).


Tim Fehnel Tim Fehnel

Timothy Fehnel is a Service Technician for Flame Technologies, Inc. He provides technical support to senior staff on issues of equipment maintenance. He is responsible for keeping projects on time and cost-effective.

His formal training includes studies at Northampton Community College. He has current registration in the OSHA 40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER).
